Writing Girl Alone

Writing Girl Alone was a definite learning curve. From having to learn the whole process of screenwriting from scratch, to being on set and watching the film get made – it has been an invaluable experience, and something I don’t think I will forget for a while.

As a first-time writer, it was an absolute honour for Girl Alone to even get any attention, and the support and ‘mentorship’ I received from Keith and David made it a dream to write and develop into a script of which we could all proud. The dream really started to turn into reality when we launched our crowdfunding campaign - and when we cast Amy as the eponymous Girl I really did start to think we could be onto something special.  This couldn’t have been done without the passion, talent and determination of every single member of the Girl Alone team. With the amount of people giving up their own time to make sure this film got made; I think I had the easy job here! I hope everyone enjoys the film.
